I completed my undergraduate studies here at Bangor in 2012, and subsequently worked for the University as a research assistant in the Psychology department. I began my PhD in 2013 after receiving a scholarship from the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.

My PhD is supervised by Dr. Manon Jones, and Prof. Oliver Turnbull. I will be investigating the way in which emotions and beliefs are tied to one language or the other in bilinguals. In particular, are bilingual people are more likely to believe and invest more emotional value to the topics relevant to one language (Welsh) but not another language (English). I will also study the effects of emotion on people's ability to remember words, and bilingual co-activation of words between their languages.

I am currently a teaching assistant on the 1st year undergraduate module ‘Writing for Science’, where students critically evaluate key areas of Psychology and develop their writing skills.
